News from Ukraine: Nuclear crisis as “VERY HIGH likelihood of major terrorist act” in power plant | World | New

Oleksandr Usyk made a captured Russian soldier question Vladimir Putin’s invasion when he saw the champion join the Ukrainian front line.

Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua are due to face off for the second time on Saturday night in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Joshua is hoping to beat the Ukrainian heavyweight boxer after last year’s loss to Tottenham.

On Friday, August 19, Joshua weighed in heavier than his counterpart at 244.5 pounds, with Usyk weighing in at 221.5 pounds.

However, Usyk also had a weight disadvantage last year – as he was more than a stone lighter than the 32-year-old Briton.

Usyk’s victory came just months before Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine on February 24 this year, the same day as his daughter Yelizaveta’s birthday.

The heavyweight champion lives in Kyiv with his three children and two days after the invasion Usyk personally called on Putin to end his attacks on the country.

In a statement posted on Instagram, he addressed the Russian people and the president.

He pleaded with the Russians to stop their children from going to Ukraine and fighting, and told Putin he had the power to stop the war.

He said, “Please sit down and negotiate with us without complaints.”
