Ukraine: Russian boats damaged in Kherson region
Ukrainian army spokesman Oleksandr Shtupun said on Saturday that several Russian boats were damaged near the settlement of Antonivka in the Kherson region.
“According to updated information, on November 3, as a result of fire damage to an enemy crossing near the settlement of Antonivka, Kherson region, a tugboat was destroyed,” Shtupun said in his daily briefing.
“Two other boats were damaged and need to be repaired,” he added.
Shtupun said a column waiting to cross near Olgivka settlement was also hit, casualties are “under specification”.
A resident said on Friday that Russian soldiers were driving Ukrainian civilians out of their apartments in the occupied capital of Kherson region and moving in themselves.
His account of soldiers spread throughout the city of Kherson suggested that Russia might be bracing for intense urban warfare in anticipation of Ukrainian advances.
Russian-installed authorities in Kherson have continued to urge civilians to leave the town, which sits on the west bank of the Dnieper and has been cut off from supplies and food by Ukrainian shelling.
