Ukraine preliminarily predicts the price of natural gas for 2022 at more than $ 350 per 1,000 cubic meters, said First Deputy Prime Minister of Economy Oleksiy Liubchenko.
“Today we understand that the weighted average price, which is currently calculated for the economy and will be factored into the forecast, will be around over $ 350 per 1,000 cubic meters. Such calculations are being made today, and all socio-economic development models for 2022 fall outside these parameters, ”he told the Verkhovna Rada on October 8.
Liubchenko said that the government and the NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy will provide the population and industry with housing and utilities with affordable gas, but the current situation is very difficult for the industry, especially for industries. chemical, processing and sugar.
The Deputy Prime Minister also clarified that Ukraine will import natural gas in October at a price of around $ 1,400 per 1,000 cubic meters. “Today the prices are over 55,000 hr (about 2,000 cubic meters) in the markets, but Ukraine has a difference of over 15,000 hr (about $ 570 per 1,000 cubic meters) between the current market in Ukraine and what we are getting today, “he said.
Liubchenko also said that the cost of producing natural gas in the country is slightly over 3,000 Hr per 1,000 cubic meters ($ 115).
